A chemical distributor used competitor drum pumps to help deliver products to its customers. The pumps were exposed to excessive wear and tear as they were lifted in and out of containers all day to make multiple deliveries.
The original pumps were not holding up in use. The distributor needed drum pumps that could handle these rugged conditions and still deliver reliable performance over the long haul.
In search of a better solution, the chemical distributor contacted Finish Thompson. This ended up being a prudent call.
PF Series Drum Pump Helps Standardize Operations
The Finish Thompson PF Series drum pumps feature strong tubing that can handle the toughest wear conditions and their durable construction was ready for the harshest repeated operations.
These drum pumps also offer a double suction centrifugal impeller, which means they deliver high flow and high head with a unique pump/impeller combination.
Further, when these pumps were coupled with Finish Thompson M3V and M3TV variable speed motors, the distributor was offered a durable solution equipped to handle harsh conditions as well as viscous fluids. These motors also helped maintain consistent flow, especially at times when delivery truck drivers had to park up to 75 ft away from the tanks they were filling.
“The customer also liked the option for 3/4” and 1” hose barbed spouts for the pumps,” reports Will Weathers, Finish Thompson Southeast Regional Manager. “The drivers now have different hoses on their trucks for different fluids and locations where they deliver. This versatility allowed the distributor to standardize their operations. This, combined with the high flow/high head capability of the PF series, made the pumps an ideal fit.”
